A prerequisite for hands-on training, must be completed prior. Approx 30+ hours.

If you have a friend or family member who’s keen to receive a treatment, you’re more than welcome to bring them along as your model – please advise us beforehand.

What you need to know
As per Australian national standards, accreditation and ASHBBCOS007 is not required for artists entering Cosmetic Tattooing or Scalp Micropigmentation. That being said, your lead Trainer Ana James holds a Cert IV Trainer and Assessor Accreditation. She is one of only a few Artists in Australia who is officially qualified to create and approve Accredited courses. Inkd SMP’s training courses and inclusions go above and beyond ASHBBCOS007 standards. Your Inkd SMP certification is accepted nationwide and internationally for insurance and business registration.

Our mission is to ensure every student leaves our training course confident, competent and excited to start performing SMP treatments straight away!
We follow a structured course curriculum with both online pre-study and in-person hands-on components.

Plan to set aside 30+ hours for your online course and pre study and practice at home.
Hands on training is 2 days in person.
Online course access is LIFETIME. If you do not finish in time for hands on training, you can refer back to the online at any time.
Must have minimum 1 year experience as a PMU / SMP / Tattoo artist with machine work.
No – this is an advanced artists course and no kit is included.
SMP will require a machine with a minimum stroke of 3.5 – 4.2mm and 9V.
Please bring your machines to training on day 1.
Inkd SMP kits or machines may be purchased separately. Please advise when booking if you would like to purchase a kit so we can ensure stock for you.
