Kenna Keough
Kenna is a rising star and leader in the Canadian SMP industry. She is a skin specialist who also has a diverse background in Medical Aesthetics and laser tattoo removal. As a laser tattoo removal technician, Kenna knows the importance of proper SMP education and application. Her experience and knowledge about all things skin is a great asset and foundation for Scalp Micropigmentation! Kenna is your local mentor in Calgary who can assist you with shadowing sessions after your SMP training course is complete.
Ana James – INKD SMP
Course creator and your online trainer and mentor.
Inkd SMP Director and lead trainer AJ has been an SMP specialist since 2019, personally completing over 1000 flawless client transformations to date… she’s also a Calgary native!
Ana is PASSIONATE about long term client happiness and healed results and is regarded as one of the SMP’s industry’s most skilled artists and successful business women.
AJ holds a Cert IV TAE Trainer and Assessor Certification is officially qualified to create and design Accredited courses. She has designed Inkd SMP’s training courses to be well structured, highly informative and on par with accredited programs.

Intensive 4 Days in person training
Location: Marda Loop Calgary
Times : 9am -4pm daily.
Small group training with a focus on building your hands on skills and correct techniques – Learn how to get world class SMP results from the very start. Two highly experienced trainers to assist you and ensure you get essential one-on-one time.
One of the most important skills to master as an SMP artist is how to manoeuvre through different skin types.
During training you’ll work on multiple live models with varying skin types and hair loss levels to give you a variety of hands on experience. The provided models’ first sessions are completed by students, their following sessions are done by Kenna, which you may shadow to observe the result or receive feedback and photos of their healed results.
Day 1: Overview of theory, equipment, practice machine control, insertion depths, spacing.
- Hairline styles, measurement and symmetry, practice drawing and execution, colour matching and ink mixing. Practice on various mediums.
Day 2: Live client demonstration by AJ & Jackson.
- Shadowing and 2 live demonstrations.
- Hand control tasks, practice on various mediums.
Day 3: Guided student model sessions
- Students work on live models with varying degrees of hair loss
Day 4: Guided student models – course completion
- Students work on live models with varying degrees of hair loss
- Additional help and feedback.
- Course completion, receive Certificate.
Certificate of Completion
Following completion of your course, AJ and Kenna will be available for ongoing mentoring and skills assistance. Kenna in person and AJ in our Skool App with weekly zooms and support!
Students will have the opportunity to work on 2 live models. Models may be male or female with varying degrees of hair loss. All models are provided by Inkd SMP.
If you have a friend or family member who’s keen to receive a treatment, you’re more than welcome to bring them along as your model – please advise us beforehand.
Course Investment
Your training tuition is $6500 CAD.
This includes:

Our 4 day beginners class is a 3 step process.
- Completing the Inkd SMP online course before hands on classes. You will receive a certificate for your theory and essentials completion. This takes 25+ hours
- Completing 4 days hands on training with 2 live models. The in person study is 24 hours.
- Post training mentoring and business setup
- Ongoing practice and skills building!
potential earnings as an SMP artist range from $250-500+ per hour. The average SMP treatment will cost $2000-4000 per client. With just one new client per week that is a potential $104 000 / year earnings!
Clients will need 2-4 sessions to complete SMP, based on their hair loss level. Each session lasts 2-4 hours on average.
